In this article, I will discuss the best doorway pull up bars and why I think they are the best. But first I will list some of the pros and cons of training at home on this pull-up bars.
The pros of those bars are that you can train at home, or simply said at peace, there are no distractions(like the guys at the gym/park yelling “beast mode” all the time). You set the rules at your place. I like the idea of training at my home, because I am an introvert and because of this I noticed I feel more comfortable training alone. And also the weather will not be a factor in your house. How many times you wake up and you see that the weather is not very nice, and you realize that you have to train at the gym or do some push ups at your place? Well, you will not face that problem if you have a pull-up bar at your place.
I can think of only one con of training with your doorway pull-up bar, and that is the limitation of moves that you have. Because in most cases there is a ceiling right above you and because of that you can not perform exercises like the muscle up and the pullover.
Overall I think it is better to have a pull-up bar at your home if it is really rainy outside.
And here are the top picks starting out with
I really liked it because, it is a combination of dip bar and pull up bar, and it comes out with stripes. As you can see this is a doorway pull up bar. Can be mounted for seconds on doorways wide from 24″ to 32″ and right after that you can start your workout. This construction can take up to 300 lbs trainees. It also has foam grips for better grip on the bar. The dip bar is hooked, it can be removed for seconds. You can perform some of the basic exercises like pull ups, chin ups, inverted rows, dips, push ups(on the straps). And also some of the advanced exercises like one arm chin ups, front levers and back levers.

The good thing about this doorway pull up bar is that you can remove it and do triceps dips on it or push ups, and it can be removed very quickly. I liked it not of its ability to do push ups but the ability to do all kinds of grips on it. From what the owners of the product say is that this equipment has 5 different grips, but I can see more than that, so that is a big plus for this pull-up bar. It supports lighter trainees than the previous bar, which is 250 lbs. It also has thick padding on it, for a better grip. You can perform a lot of exercises on it because it can be removed and used for Push ups, sit ups, and triceps dips. But when is mounted you can do a lot of the basic pulling exercises.

Compared to the other pull up bars, you mount this once, and if you mount it, you can’t remove it like the other ones. You can but it takes longer, and if you do that, the next time it is not very safe to mount it on the same place.
I liked this bar because it is simple, and I like the simple stuff. Always keep it simple. (That is why I only train with my bodyweight it is enough. There are always new challenging moves, that I need to build up the strength to be able to perform).
As you can see it is 48″ wide, and it is slightly knurled for better grip. The weight that this pull-up bar supports depends greatly from where you put it on. You can use gymnastic rings on it.

This is my favorite because this is made as simple as possible. This pull-up bar has foam covering and includes some mounting hardware with it, and that is it, there is nothing else. The only problem with it is not removable like some of the bars from the list but fits the price perfectly. You can perform most of the listed pulling exercises above. And as you can see from this review from Amazon, it will support the weight 250 lbs for sure.
You can order one right here.
I recommend every one of them and if you ordered from here please don’t forget to leave a review in the comments.
